Face Editor 3D

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

Face Editor 3D does not collect anything. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no server. The app contains no networking code at all and no third-party software development kits.

Your videos, photographs and face never leave your device, because there is nothing in the app that could send them.

What the app works with, and where it stays

Videos and photographs you choose

When you pick something from your photo library, iOS hands the app a copy of that one item. The copy is kept in the app’s own private storage on your device so that your work survives closing the app, and it is removed when you load something else. Nothing is uploaded.

Video you film in the app

If you film a selfie clip, it is written to the app’s private storage on your device and treated exactly like an imported clip. Sound is recorded with it, because a clip without its sound is of little use.

Face data from the TrueDepth camera

The app uses the TrueDepth camera in two optional features, and nowhere else. What each one reads, and what happens to it:

The shape of your face (My Mesh)

If you choose My Mesh, the TrueDepth camera measures the proportions of your face — a set of depth points across it, and its width — so that edits follow your own features instead of an average head. This measurement is held in memory only for as long as you are working. It is never written to disk, never included in anything you export, and it is discarded when you tap Delete my mesh, leave the edit, or close the app.

Head position in clips filmed in the app

When you film yourself on a device with a TrueDepth camera, the app stores beside the clip where your head was on each frame: which way it was turned, where it was in the picture, and how large it appeared — nothing more. This holds no measurement of the shape of your face and cannot be used to identify anyone. It stays in the app's private storage on your device, is never included in anything you export, and is deleted together with the clip, when you load something else, or when you delete the app.

What never happens to it

Face data from the TrueDepth camera never leaves your device. It is not shared with anyone, not sold, not used for advertising or marketing, not used to build a profile of anyone, and not used to identify anyone. The app contains no networking code, so there is no way for it to be sent anywhere.

Renders

A finished video or picture is written to the app’s temporary storage, and copied to your photo library only when you tap Save, or handed to another app only when you tap Share.

Permissions the app asks for, and why

You may refuse or withdraw any of these in iOS Settings. Refusing the camera disables face measurement and in-app filming; everything else keeps working.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.

The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any result produced by it will meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of media, loss of profits, loss of goodwill or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the app, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, and whether or not the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

What you are responsible for

You are responsible for what you make and for what you do with it. You are responsible for having the right to use the video and photographs you edit, and for the consent of anyone appearing in them where consent is required. Editing an image of a person can mislead, and you are responsible for how anything you create is presented and shared. The developer has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, material you create or publish.

Back up your work

Renders are held in temporary storage until you save or share them. Files placed there by any app may be removed by iOS without notice. Save anything you want to keep.
